Old Time Radio

Welcome
Black Jack Justice Fans

This website is a celebration of the Old Time Radio Detective.

Over at Addictive Comics,
we have been fortunate enough to produce a
webcomic version of Decoder Ring Theatre's wonderful
Black Jack Justice.

As an added bonus to our readers we thought you may enjoy learning a bit about where Jack Justice and Trixie Dixon we "born", so to speak.

Black Jack Justice

Old Time Radio refers to that period of history before television when the radio was the primary form of home entertainment.  Radio shows were very different during this time than what you hear today.  Like modern television, there were comedies, dramas, westerns, adventures, soap operas -- and of course, detective shows.

Gregg Taylor and Decoder Ring Theater drew inspiration from the Old Time Radio Detective Shows when creating Jack Justice and his world.  If you love Black Jack Justice, you will feel right at home in the 1940's San Francisco of Sam Spade or the 1950's Chicago of Randy Stone's Nightbeat.

Many of the shows were quite good and hold up well to the modern ear.  And thanks to the internet, they are more easily available than ever.  We have located 100% Free sources of most of the shows listed to the left.  All you need is an internet connection (high speed preferably) and this site to start enjoying the wonders of the Old Time Radio Detectives today.

Click on one of the links on the left to get started.  Everything is explained on each page.
